Commission number three was of another Austrian mountain lake scene. However, this one was painted from an actual photograph. I had originally thought for sure that a relative of mine had taken the picture, but now I am not quite sure. This is a painting of a little Austrian town called Hallstatt. During my trip to Europe in 2003, we stopped and visited this very place. This previous experience made painting this project a little more fun, because I recognized certain land marks and had been to a couple of the buildings in this painting.
